I made this for breakfast this morning! It was wonderfull! When you just scrape off the skin and keep the pink under layer; the porridge is a lovely pink colour!
ORGANIC RED TANIA PORRIDGE WITH GRATED VANILLA BEAN
INGREDIENTS: 1 small tania (with skin scraped off and pink under skin remaining); 1 cup water; water to add if needed; 1tsp grated vanilla bean.
METHOD:
1. Bring 1 cup water to boil.
3. Grate tania on finest side of grater so it is mush rather then slivers.
2. Add grated tania slowly; stirring constantly.
3. Add grated vanilla bean.
4. Stir while bringing to a boil; adding water to consistency desired.
5. Turn to low and cook 5 minutes.
TIPS;
Garnish with hemp seeds; flax seeds; sesame seeds.
Add your favourite bean, seed or nut milk.
Use other spices such as cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, mace, cloves.
