Great meal again; well rounded with raw salad foods; breadfruit; green fig; lentils; sweet potato; rice …. nutritious and delicious!

I remember going to Macia’s Vegetarian Cafe on a back street in Roseau over 10 years ago.

She has dedicated her life to promoting health through healthy eating.

I remember when she was considering opening the Catering Business she has now – her thoughts were “these office workers in Roseau need good food delivered right to their desk!”.

Well for many years now she has provided healthy catering services throughout Roseau; just call and order your healthy food; when it is right there you will eat it rather than unhealthy choices that are easily available.

Lunch at Rootz Healing Foods

I love to eat local and I love to eat healthy food. Rootz Healing Foods provide healthy local foods.

I also like that they do not cook with soy chunks (80% of all non organic soy products are from genetically modified soya beans and highly processed). There food is not highly salted and their juices are not very sweet; often there is a non sweetened option.

Looking forward to my Sutton Place Roti today.  Every Saturday and Wednesday they have 3 or 4 kinds of homemade roti. Their Vegetarian Roti includes potatoes, garbanzo beans, split pea dahl, spinach, pumpkin, green beans in a savory curry sauce. Ask for the homemade mango chutney!

The atmosphere is superb; with great service and a historical ambience. I love the picture of the first owners at the front desk.

Lunch at Natural Livity was great today.

This Vegan Restaurant in downtown Roseau is at 15 King Geoge V Street just up from Raffouls Food Court. Call 265-5912.

Besides delicious vegan snacks; the vegan lunch is a plate full of local foods tastefully presented. Todays menu: Lentils with soya chunks; tomato rice; salad with avocado; christophene and soya accras; passionfruit juice.

My favorite snack is the vegetarian pizza but they also have pies; stuffed bakes and soy accras.

Nutritious and reasonable priced.

I visited Roots Healing Foods on Kennedy Avenue yesterday. This is a new vegan cafe run by a well known herbalist Deschamps and his partner. The lunch was great as usual; blackbeans, creamed potatoes, salad, provisions, a special sauce.  Breakfast; Snacks; Fresh Juice; Fresh Teas;  and Lunch. Open 8 pm till late afternoon. Last visit I saw blackstrap molasses, mango butter, honey, garlic syrup available for sale.
